About Me
I first got into mountain biking around 1993 when another friend and I borrowed her parents’ rigid frame mountain bikes and went on a local nature trail. I was hooked right away and borrowed friends’ bikes whenever I could, however I didn’t buy my own mountain bike until 2002 when I purchased a hardtail from a local bike shop. At that time I was living in Vancouver and was trying out the trails close to my apartment until I met up with another group in 2003 and started doing rides 2-3x week with them.
I moved back to the Comox Valley in 2007 and my friends here are into much more technical riding. I had already ridden the XC trails with them in the past so when I decided to move here for good they decided to initiate me on a more advanced trail called “Bucket of Blood” and it lived up to its name! It is a technical XC trail with some DH sections. That’s when I knew my little hardtail needed to be upgraded. I’ve been riding more technical trails and pushing my limits ever since.
Recently Marjorie from GO! Girls Outdoors website did a great write-up on me. You can find it here.
I also have the honour of being a Sugoi Brand Champion! Yay!
