Snowy Ride Down Cabin Fever…
After last weekend’s ride I made a New Year’s Resolution to ride more and after waking to a half decent day (meaning we didn’t wake to the sound of rain bouncing off the windows) we finally got out on the trails again. We also thought it would be nice to ride downhill for a change of pace so we headed to one of my favourite trails, Cabin Fever.
We hadn’t ridden Cabin Fever for quite a while and had heard reports that the snow level had gone up a fair bit so we jumped at the chance to get a ride in before the snow level dropped again. There were only three of us today: myself, Colin, and Pascale.
Unfortunately we were just above the snow line but luckily the snow didn’t last for long and the trail was clear for the most part once we got into the trees.
After Cabin Fever we headed over to Transmission and down to Bears Bait. Aside from a couple of downed trees, the trails were in really good shape. It felt good to be on Forbidden again and rides there over the winter months are a treat. It all depends on the snow line…
